--SS J.J. Hardy was back in the lineup Thursday after leaving in the seventh inning Wednesday night with the beginning of a migraine headache. Hardy began feeling some numbness in his left side as well as blurry vision but took medication immediately and was able to play Thursday. Hardy knocked in a run and cut down a runner at the plate in the 5-3 victory over the Marlins.
--C Mike Rivera was activated before Thursday's game and was inserted into the lineup to catch RHP Dave Bush. Rivera had caught Bush exclusively before going on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle. C Carlos Corporan was returned to Class AAA Nashville to make room on the roster for Rivera. --3B Bill Hall connected for the 100th home run of his career in the second inning, a two-run shot off Florida RHP Josh Johnson. Hall was batting only .215 against right-handed pitchers entering the game, but he had been 3-for-4 off Johnson with a home run.
