--OF Brad Nelson was sent outright to Class AAA Nashville after the Brewers' game Wednesday night vs. Florida. Nelson was 0-for-21 for the season, including 0-for-14 as a pinch hitter. He has a right to decline the assignment and become a free agent.
--3B Mat Gamel was called up from Class AAA Nashville, where he was batting .336 with eight home runs and 31 RBIs. The plan is for Gamel to get his feet wet with some at-bats off the bench before being used as a DH in upcoming interleague series on the road. --SS J.J. Hardy left the game Wednesday night in the seventh inning with what was believed to be the onset of a migraine headache. Hardy was experiencing some numbness and blurred vision, which he said usually happens before full onset of a migraine.

C Mike Rivera (sprained left ankle) went on the 15-day disabled list April 29. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Nashville on May 11, and he could be activated May 14.
RHP David Riske (right elbow tightness) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 10. He will attempt to rehab the elbow through mid-May, but if he is unsuccessful, he might need Tommy John surgery.
