--1B Prince Fielder bounced back from going 0-for-10 in a weekend series against the Cubs with his second multi-homer game of the season Tuesday night against Florida and the 14th of his career. Both homers came off LHP John Koronka, the first time Fielder hit two off a lefty in the same game since April 23 of last season, when he victimized Philadelphia LHP Cole Hamels.
--INF/OF Frank Catalanotto signed a minor league deal and will report to the Brewers' training facility in Arizona. After a week or so, Catalanotto, 35, will be assigned to a minor league club to see if he might help as a hitter off the Brewers bench. He was released by Texas at the end of spring training. --2B Rickie Weeks slugged his eighth homer of the season Tuesday in the fifth inning off Florida LHP John Koronka. Weeks hit only eight homers in the entire first half of the 2008 season.
