--RHP Jeff Suppan allowed a career-high 11 runs (eight earned) in 3 2/3 innings Wednesday night against the Cubs. His previous high for runs allowed was 10 against Atlanta on July 5, 2006.

--2B Rickie Weeks has scored 68 runs since returning from the disabled list last Aug. 10, the most of any player in the major leagues during that time.

--LHP Brian Shouse did not allow any of the first 11 runners he inherited to score this season. But Shouse now has allowed six of the last seven inherited runners to score.

--RHP Seth McClung had his second career at-bat in the sixth inning Wednesday and struck out against Chicago RHP Bob Howry for the final out.

--LF Ryan Braun has shown signs of breaking out of a season-opening offensive skid by hitting safely in eight of his last nine games. He is batting .368 (14-for-38) over that span.
