
--LF Ryan Braun and RHP Ben Sheets were named the Brewers' player and pitcher of the month for May. Braun batted .322 with 11 home runs and 22 RBIs. Sheets was 2-1 with a 3.53 ERA in six starts with two walks and 34 strikeouts.
--C Jason Kendall has thrown out 16 of 37 runners (43.2 percent) attempting steals this season. Last year, Kendall threw out only 13 of 124 (10.5 percent) runners on steal attempts. --3B Russell Branyan hit a 465-foot home run Saturday night in the sixth inning off Houston RHP Oscar Villarreal, matching the third-longest homer hit at Miller Park. Branyan also has the longest homer at the ballpark, a 450-foot shot in 2004 off RHP Greg Maddux, pitching for the Cubs at the time.
--The Brewers' starting pitchers have been strong of late, posting a 2.47 ERA over their last seven starts. Over that span, the starters have posted six quality starts.
--RHP Dave Bush, who did not make it past six innings in any of his first eight starts, has gone seven innings in his of his last two. Over that time, Bush has allowed just three runs in 14 innings (1.93 ERA). All three runs have come on bases-empty home runs.
