
--Ned Yost posted his 400th victory as Brewers manager in a 1-0 triumph over Atlanta. Only Phil Garner (563) and Tom Trebelhorn (422) have more wins in club history.
--3B Bill Hall, who is now sharing time at the position with INF Russell Branyan, extended his hitting streak to seven games Wednesday by going 1-for-3. --The Brewers' bullpen has a 0.98 ERA (two runs in 18 1/3 innings) over the club's last five games. During that span, RHP Salomon Torres has three saves and a victory as the interim closer with RHP Eric Gagne on the DL.
--RHP Jeff Suppan struck out a season-high seven batters in eight shutout innings in the 1-0 victory over Atlanta. It was Suppan's sixth quality start of the season but first outing in which he allowed no runs.
--3B coach Dale Sveum missed the game Wednesday night and will be absent Thursday afternoon as well while he attends the high school graduation of daughter Brittane in Scottsdale, Ariz. First-base coach Eddie Sedar moved over to third base with hitting coach Jim Skaalen filling in at first.
