Milwaukee Brewers Notes, Quotes 2009-05-14
--Since beginning the season by losing four consecutive series, the Brewers have gone 6-0-2 in series play. They have come from behind to win 12 times and are 16-5 over their last 21 games.

--2B Rickie Weeks hit the first pitch from Florida RHP Ricky Nolasco for a home run Wednesday, the 13th leadoff shot of his career. It also was the second leadoff homer for Weeks in a span of three games, following his shot Sunday against the Cubs.

--LHP Manny Parra was 0-4 with a 6.52 ERA after four starts. But Parra has bounced back strong over his last three outings, going 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA. He has produced a quality start in each of those starts, helping the Brewers total a major league-best 20 for the season.

BY THE NUMBERS: 14-6 -- The Brewers' record in playing 20 games in 20 days before getting an off day Monday.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "What a professional. He's putting his name in the lineup." -- Manager Ken Macha, on the contributions he has received off the bench from INF Craig Counsell.
