--RHP Yovani Gallardo became only the third player in major league history Wednesday to hit a home run in a 1-0 game and also strike out at least 10 hitters (he whiffed 11 against Pittsburgh). --The Brewers bullpen has been doing solid work of late, going 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA (six runs in 24 innings) over the past eight games. Over that stretch, the relievers have lowered their ERA from 5.15 to 4.12.

--Class A Brevard County RHP Evan Anundsen threw a no-hitter Tuesday against Dayton, logging a career-high 10 strikeouts. It was the first nine-inning no-hitter in the minors this season. Anundsen (20) was a fourth-round draft pick in 2006 out of Columbine (Colo.) High School.

BY THE NUMBERS: 13 -- Multi-home run games for Prince Fielder after he socked two out of the park Saturday night in a 9-8, 11-inning victory in Houston.
