--RHP Carlos Villanueva is not thriving as the ninth-inning replacement for injured RHP Trevor Hoffman. Villanueva sent the Brewers on a four-game skid by blowing a save Saturday against the Cubs, and he allowed the Reds to ice a 6-1 victory Tuesday night by surrendering three runs in the ninth.
--RHP Jeff Suppan's next start has been pushed back from Friday to Sunday in New York. Suppan is off to an awful start (0-2, 12.91 ERA), and manager Ken Macha said the extra days would allow him to throw another bullpen session and hopefully sharpen up his command. BY THE NUMBERS: 0 -- Runs allowed by RHP Todd Coffey in 13 appearances since the Brewers claimed him off waivers from Cincinnati last September.
