--1B Prince Fielder recorded the 500th hit of his career Tuesday with a seventh-inning double off San Francisco LHP Jeremy Affeldt. Fielder was the third-youngest player (24 years, 333 days) in franchise history to reach 500 hits, behind Robin Yount (21 years, 297 days) and Sixto Lezcano (24 years, 305 days).--LF Ryan Braun reached base in both of his plate appearances against Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum on Tuesday with a hit by pitch and a single. For his career, Braun has six hits in 13 at-bats (.462) with a pair of homers off Lincecum.
--OF Chris Duffy was the lone non-roster player to make the Brewers' 25-man roster for opening day. Duffy beat out OF Tony Gwynn Jr., who cleared waivers and was sent outright to Class AAA Nashville.
