--RHP Dave Bush will start Game 3 of the NL Division Series against Philadelphia on Saturday in Milwaukee. Bush was 0-0 with a 5.25 ERA in two starts against the Phillies this season. He is 0-0 with a 6.23 ERA in four career outings vs. Philadelphia.
--RHP Jeff Suppan has been tabbed for Game 4, if there is one. Suppan was 0-1 with a 5.91 ERA in two starts against the Phillies in 2008 and is 0-4 with a 6.93 ERA in five outings over the past three years. --The Brewers bullpen has pitched 8 1/3 scoreless innings in the first two games of the NLDS. Over that span, the relievers have allowed just four hits.
--RF Corey Hart swung at the first pitch he saw in the first inning off Philadelphia RHP Brett Myers and bounced into a bases-loaded double play to end the inning. Myers had walked three hitters, including J.J. Hardy ahead of Hart to force in a run. "That's must part of maturing, sometimes, as a hitter," interim manager Dale Sveum said. "Corey is a very aggressive hitter, and unfortunately he hit a groundball back to the pitcher and they were able to get out of the inning."
--The Brewers only seven hits in 61 at-bats during the two games at Philadelphia. LF Ryan Braun has two of the team's three extra-base hits, all doubles.
BY THE NUMBERS: .115 -- The Brewers' batting average in the first two games of the NL Division Series against Philadelphia.
