Milwaukee Brewers Notes, Quotes 2008-09-01
--2B Ray Durham sat out the entire weekend series in Pittsburgh with a strained right shoulder. Durham was making progress in getting game-ready and is expected to be available for the upcoming series against the Mets.

--RF Corey Hart smacked his 20th home run of the season Saturday night in Pittsburgh, becoming the first player in club history to have two 20/20 seasons (homers and stolen bases). Hart accomplished the feat last season, also.

--RHP Jeff Suppan was undefeated in six starts in August, going 5-0 with a 3.00 ERA. Suppan's victory Saturday night over Pittsburgh boosted his career record to 12-3 against that club.

--CF Mike Cameron received a well-deserved day of rest Sunday. Cameron was the Brewers' hottest hitter in August, batting .360 with nine home runs and 22 RBIs. Cameron has 24 homers despite sitting out the first 25 games of the season on suspension.

--RHP Dave Bush (4-0), LHP CC Sabathia (5-0) and RHP Jeff Suppan (5-0) all went undefeated during the month of August.

BY THE NUMBERS: 20-7 -- The Brewers' record in August, their first 20-win month since September 1992.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Last year, we were trying not to lose and let the Cubs catch us. This year, our focus is to keep going ahead and win as many series as we can." -- RF Corey Hart.
