For the fifth time in six games, Minnesota (44-36) came from behind to win, this time from three runs down in a 7-6 victory over the Brewers on Friday.

"I don't recommend that theory," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said of the comebacks "But it's a nine inning game. You have to keep playing."

Brian Buscher's bloop single tied the game in the seventh and Joe Mauer broke that tie with a two-out solo homer in the eighth as Minnesota extended its longest streak since winning 11 in a row from June 22-July 3, 2006.

All those Twins victories have come during interleague play where they are 13-3 - tied with Kansas City for the best record in the majors.

Alexi Casilla and Jason Kubel also homered Friday for the Twins, who are averaging 6.3 runs while batting .309 with 10 homers during their current run.

Buscher, meanwhile, is hitting .375 with 15 RBIs in 14 games this season. Second baseman Casilla, who's batting .308, left the game in the fifth inning after spraining a finger and is day to day.

"It's nice to see guys step up in those types of situations," said Mauer, who is 5-for-15 against Milwaukee this season. "They were swinging the bats well and we were able to come back."

While the Twins have performed well at the plate, their pitching has been solid during their streak despite allowing more than three runs for the first time in 10 contests.

Hernandez (8-4, 5.23 ERA) avoided a fourth consecutive losing decision when he allowed a run in seven innings of a 2-1 victory over Washington on June 17 to start the streak. He gave up one earned run and nine hits in seven innings of a 5-3 victory over Arizona on June 22.

The right-hander is 7-5 with a 3.70 ERA in 18 career starts against Milwaukee (43-36), which has lost two in a row after winning eight of nine.

On Friday, Corey Hart homered twice to drive in three runs, while J.J. Hardy hit a two-run home run and Russell Branyan homered for the 11th time since joining Milwaukee on May 25.

"Good games don't feel too great if you don't win," said Hart, who is batting .348 with four homers and eight RBIs during a six-game hitting streak.

Manny Parra (7-2, 4.29) looks for a sixth straight win when he takes the ball Saturday. He allowed three runs, five hits and a career-high six walks in five innings, but still earned a 7-3 win over Baltimore on Sunday.

"It was just a bad ol' day, one of those days where I was struggling to find my command," said Parra, who is 6-1 with a 3.57 ERA in his last seven contests.

The left-hander, who is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA during interleague play this season, will make his first career starts versus Minnesota.
